CONSTELLATIONS

Groups of stars in the same section of the sky are called constellations. They are 88 in number discovered over the centuries. Moon takes approximately 27 days to travel around the ecliptic. Based on this, the zodiac has been divided into 27 divisions named constellations. They are connected by imaginary lines to form a particular figure for easy reference. Though the signs include certain visible constellations, the westerners call the signs also as constellations.
